Mirror Work Suits: Handcrafted Festive Wear by Dohr

Mirror work has an unmatched ability to catch light and bring an ensemble alive, and that radiant charm is the very soul of the Jalsa collection. Every mirror work suit at Dohr begins with thoughtful fabric curation. From luminous tissue silk and ethereal organza to refined silk chanderi and rich velvet, each material is selected for its drape and movement before the first stitch is laid.

Our craft goes far beyond surface-level ornamentation. Authentic shisha, delicate dabka, fine zari, and shimmering cutdana are meticulously hand-embroidered into the weave itself. The result is embellishment that feels seamless, enduring, and effortlessly structural, designed to shine from every angle.

The Ruvina Purple Mirror Work Kaftan and the Zeva Olive Green Mirror Work Kaftan are both great picks for pre-wedding functions or relaxed festive evenings where you still want to look dressed up.

Why Dohr

Dohr is built on the philosophy of creating timeless heirlooms, ensembles you will love and wear across seasons, not pieces that stay tucked away after a single occasion. Rooted in a passion for authentic Indian craftsmanship, our approach is fabric-first rather than trend-led. We develop our own signature textiles, from custom yarn-dyed fabrics to exclusive jacquard weaves, ensuring distinct quality from the loom to the final stitch.

Master artisans bring every silhouette to life by hand, preserving generational embroidery techniques without relying on mass-machine replication. This dedication to craft defines everything we create, from our signature mirror work suits and embroidered kurta sets to relaxed co-ord sets and celebratory wedding suits. With true-to-size fits, dedicated client support, and worldwide shipping, Dohr brings refined traditional Indian wear to your wardrobe, wherever you are.

FAQs on Mirror Work Suits

What occasions suit a mirror work suit best?

Poojas, festivals, sangeets, Navratri and Diwali gatherings. Lighter jacquard styles like Avena suit daytime functions, while denser silk chanderi mirror work, like Veya, is built for evenings.

How should I care for a mirror work suit?

Dry clean only. Home washing can damage the hand embroidery and loosen the mirrors.

Are mirror work suits available in plus sizes?

Yes, the Jalsa collection runs from XS to XXXL across kurta sets, kaftans, and choga silhouettes.

How long does dispatch take?

Jalsa is part of Dohr's Classic line, with a ten-day dispatch window built in for hand-finished mirror work.

Does Dohr ship the Jalsa collection worldwide?

Yes, every piece in the Jalsa collection ships worldwide, so wherever you're celebrating from, you can shop the collection.
